Psalm 139:13-16

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

Post Op

We are loving every minute holding our precious Grace like a "normal" baby now!  It is amazing!  She is doing great!  Yesterday, we spent about six hours holding her.  Her incision looks great, and her doctors are very happy with how she is doing.  We got there and found a sweet pink bow in her hair, thanks to her nurse!  They extubated her early yesterday morning, and her vital signs and labs have been great.  They discontinued all her IVs except for one, which was giving her IV fluids to keep her hydrated.  We got to feed her for the first time after surgery around 2:00 pm yesterday.  She did great!  She took two ounces!  Her Nanny and Pawpaw got to visit with her some yesterday too.  We are so happy with how Grace is doing!  We may get to bring her home as early as next Wednesday!  She is such a miracle, and all praise to our Father!

I thought you would like to see some pictures of our miracle baby!

One of my favorites!
Morning of her surgery!

My first bow!  :)

First time holding her after surgery!

Sweet baby girl :)

  9. I had been so worried about your family especially the week before Grace's scheduled birth........I am beyond happy for you & yours. My eyes welled up today looking at your pictures. Grace is beautiful!

You can tell by the looks on Momma & Daddy's faces that you both are finally being able to just experience the joy of your little one............without the heaviness & strees of the world on your shoulders.

God bless your little family abundantly.

  14. Karen,
God is so good!!! I am so thankful that he still performs miracles!!! I am praying for you, Chad, Grace and the rest of your family. Grace's story should and has touched many lives and it should show people that He is still God. God knew that Grace would be a perfect way to show people in this day and time that He is still in control and He knew that you and Chad were Faithful enough that He could count on you to still trust in Him and believe in Him. I hope you guys get to take her home soon.
    Love in Christ,
    Crystal

  16. From reading the comments above, everyone has their favorite parts- fingernails, cheeks, etc. I love the chin by her bottom lip, especially as seen in your favorite pic! I remember when our Elizabeth was that small- so sweet, soft, and loveable! Congratulations! I cannot wait to meet her!!
