We are celebrating Grace's 3rd day birthday today! Grace is doing so much better than expected, and is a true miracle! We are so thankful. She is very feisty, and we love her personality! She has dark hair, and lots of it. Her eyes are dark blue, and she looks around a lot. Her fingers and toes are long and skinny. She loves to have her hands by her face. She makes the sweetest sounds unless she is mad! It takes a while for her to get happy again once she is mad. Everyone comments on her pretty color.
Grace eats 55ml by mouth/NG tube every 3 hours, and is very content after she eats. We have to change her diapers after we feed her because she gets so mad during diaper changes. She doesn't like clothes very much either. She is scheduled to have an MRI today, and we will go from there with her plan of care.
We are very much in love with our sweet girl! Thank you so much for your prayers.
She looks perfect! What a full face! Will keep checking in for updates. I hope you are feeling okay Karen! C-sections are no joke. I hope you get some rest these next few nights while you have nurses taking care of you and Grace. We love you and continue to pray.

ReplyDeleteOh she is so beautiful! all the best tomorrow with the MRI --- it's loud, by the way. Joshua fell asleep in his though. I fed him, settled him, and if I remember right they put ear plugs in his ears. They did let me sit in the room. It's head-ache inducing, but I felt better knowing I was with him. LOVE from the Sams family

Your faithfulness and dependence on God is a testimony to all that know you and your family. We pray that God continues to bless you, Chad, the grandparents, and especially Grace in mighty ways. ReplyDeleteA sweetheart! You made me laugh when you said she does NOT like to have her diaper changed! I remember having to stop in the middle of a feeding because the diaper was full. Changed it, then continued nursing. That was a long time ago, but not funny at the time.
