Psalm 139:13-16

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

String of Pearls

" What we have once, we can never lose.  All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."  -Helen Keller

My heart is blessed because of a Momma named Laura Huene, founder and president of String of Pearls.  String of Pearls is "a non-profit dedicated to providing a nurturing and safe place for families as they navigate the path following a fatal prenatal diagnosis that will result in the death of their baby prior to, or shortly after birth."  Today, I received a keepsake kit from String of Pearls that will help us celebrate the life of our sweet baby girl Grace.  Their services are provided without cost!  Please join me in donating in honor of Grace to String of Pearls ( or PO Box 630454; Littleton, CO 80163-0454).  Thank you to Laura and String of Pearls!

Also, please pray for us tomorrow as we see Dr. M for the last time!  We are sad, but want to do everything we can for our baby girl, so we will be changing to see a new obstetrician, Dr. B, so that Grace can be delivered at UMC.

  1. So glad you got your keepsake kit! I loved mine! Such a sweet place!

  2. Dear Grace's Mommy,
I have quietly followed your blog for a few weeks after learning about your sweet angel through a prayer request email. Although I don't know the exact challenges of your baby's diagnosis, I wanted to share the experience of my second pregnancy with you. At 27 weeks, my second pregnancy experience was turned upside down when we learned of an anomaly with my daughter. I was terrified of leaving the care of my OBGYN, but there was no better place for us to be than UMC! Dr. Bofill, Nurse B.J., Nurse Phyllis, and Dr. Lichtey (and basically everyone else in the ADU, WISER, and Blair E. Batson) showed great compassion every step of the way. I know without a doubt that you and Grace will receive unbelievable care. Please continue to post updates and we'll continue to pray for amazing miracles.
    With sisterly love,
    Faith's Mommy

    P.S. Faith's big sister's name is Grace:)
