Gifts from our baby Grace, diagnosed with occipital encephalocele at 20 weeks.
Psalm 139:13-16
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

Carter
Please join with me in prayer for a precious little boy named Carter. He is having a BIG surgery tomorrow. His mom's blog is www.littlegiftcarter.blogspot.com.
I am Momma of Grace Elizabeth (I'm a pediatric nurse on the side). After six years of marriage, Chad and I learned we were pregnant with our first baby in July 2010, and we learned it's a girl on October 21. Our baby girl was diagnosed with occipital encephalocele (which contained mostly CSF and approximately 10% of her cerebellum) with Chiari type III malformation October 22, when I was 20 weeks pregnant. She also was later diagnosed with agenesis of the corpus callosum and microcephaly. Although the prognosis was poor (we were given the option to terminate more than once), we decided to carry her and allow God to use Grace to draw others nearer to Him, either through her life or through her death. Grace was born March 4, 2011, at 39 weeks, and was 7 pounds, 1 ounce, and 18.5 inches long. She is our miracle baby! God has blessed Chad and me with being her parents. Our prayer for Grace is that God will use her life to draw others nearer to Him. This blog is dedicated to Grace and my journey with motherhood.
Your so sweet. Thank you all so much for all of your prayers!
