Psalm 139:13-16

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

Birthday Week

Happy birthday week, my sweet Grace!  Your daddy and I are celebrating you this week as we wait to meet you Friday!  I cannot believe we are so close to getting to meet you and see your sweet face!  We are praying extra for you this week, that God would continue to use your life to give Him glory, and that He would heal you.  We pray that He would guide us as your parents as we make further decisions for you after you are born.  We pray that God would be with your "team" of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, etc, and that He would be with our family and friends as they can't wait to meet you.  We pray for continued peace throughout the week as we prepare for you.  We pray that we will get to spend the most time with you as we can, as we celebrate your precious life.  Most importantly, we pray for God's will to be done through our family.

I feel so blessed to be your momma.  I feel chosen.  Thank you for changing my life.  I love you to the moon and back!

  1. We're still praying. Our family watched a movie last night after church about Dr. Ben Carson. He is Director of the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins. He performed the surgery for the first siamese twins joined at the head that lived. The movie is called "Gifted Hands." Those gifted hands, guided by God, have done some amazing things. I pray that God will once again bless Grace's doctor with "gifted hands" and give you the miracle that you long for.

  6. I have been "lurking" and following your story since for about a month or so now and have been praying for you all and for Grace and for her team of doctors and nurses. I am an RN and have worked in peds/nicu/mother-baby and have seen so many miracles that can only be described as such. And I have also seen medical teams perform the miracles that we all pray for. I will be lifting you all up this week, especially on Friday.

Peace and blessings to you and Chad,
    Stacie

  11. I am praying for God to just show out tomorrow when Grace is born. I know that he can heal her and she can be a living testimony for him. I am like you, I sometimes questison God but I have learned that he has a plan and purpose for everything. Grave has already touched so many lives and she isn't even here yet. I am going to claim victory over this baby. There are two songs that I love to listen to and if you get a chance to listen to them, I hope they touch you in the same way they touch me. My Life is in Your Hands and Stand on His Word. I pray that you and your family have peace and understanding over all of this. I wish you the best.
    Love in Christ,
    Crystal

  14. Karen, you and Chad have been chosen for such a time as this, and you both, along with baby Grace, have touched so many lives - including mine. Steven and I love y'all so much, and we have been praying for you and will continue to do so as you welcome Grace into the world.

Thank you for your honesty, your faith, your trust and your passion for living a life (no matter how difficult it may be) that is a reflection of a heart forever changed by Christ.
