Psalm 139:13-16

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

2 month stats

We had our two month check up at the pediatrician today (technically, she's 7 weeks this week)!  Grace woke up in a great mood and has been all smiles all day (except for when she got her shots and when she was in the car).  The check up went great...her weight was 8 lb, 14 oz (25th percentile), her length was 21.5 in (between 25th and 50th percentile), and her head circumference was 35cm, which of course is small because she has microcephaly (although it was just below "normal")!  Her pediatrician did change her formula to Gentlease, so maybe we can stop taking our medicine for fussiness/gas.  She got three shots at the end, and we both did great!  :)  And bonus, she's been happy ever since we got home!

I thought this picture was so funny!  Before we left, when I was putting her in the car, I noticed her head band was on her eyes!  She didn't seem to mind at all!

And here are some more pictures to make you happy :)

Bundle of baby :)

  1. Such a gorgeous little girl. I love reading about Grace's progress.

  2. I am so happy to hear my name twin is doing so well!

  3. She is so cute!!! I know what you mean about the Gas Drops. We lived on them with both of my boys. We tried Gentlease and they both still fussed and couldn't go to the bathroom so then they put us on that expensive stuff called Nutramigen and it worked, although we still had to have colic drops:( Both of my boys had colic and acid reflux so it was pretty bad around my house with the crying:( Hope the new formula help!!!

  4. I have been following your blog for awhile, but never commented. I am so happy for you and that precious girl. I just wanted to say that my son was extremely fussy and had reflux and the Gentlease did help some!

  5. Your little miss looks like someone that is ready for Easter with those pretty pastel bows! Thanks for the updates so I can add praises to my prayers. ♥♫

  6. I've been following your blog and praying for Grace, and she is just so precious! What a miracle! I actually saw you two at Target today and wanted to tell you we've been praying for you, but my toddler was too busy running all over the place :)

  7. Great check up and precious pictures. I'm thrilled that she is doing so well. I'll be adding praises to my prayers as well!

  8. She has such pretty eyes! She looks great!

  9. I have been following your blog for awhile and have commented a few times. I am a nurse (neonatal) and just want to point out that Gentlease is okay for a short while but note that one of the first ingredient is corn syrup solids. I hope it helps her fussiness and gas but it may be worth exploring other options aside from the gentlease. Please, I hope you don't find this offensive and sound like I am questioning your judgement as a mother. I think you are amazing... It's just the newborn nurse in me to want what's best for her.
