Psalm 139:13-16

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

School Prayer Requests

Hey friends!  I just wanted to post a few prayer requests I have for Grace regarding school.  As always, THANK YOU for joining with us in praying for our special girl, our precious gift from God!

Nearly every day, Grace starts crying as soon as we exit the interstate to go to her school.  Sometimes it's milder, but many days she is screaming by the time we get to her classroom.  I'm not sure why she does this, and we give her as much comfort and reassurance as possible.  Chad mostly takes her to school, so he has experienced this much more than I have, but this is concerning for us.  We want Grace to know she can trust her teachers and friends, as well as love the people of her school, because they love her so much!

Also, Grace has yet to drink any liquids while she is at school.  She won't take her bottle, and she won't drink at snack time or lunch time.  I know they work with her on this, but she just refuses.  What can I say, she is one feisty girl!

Overall, she is adjusting well to school, but of course these issues are concerning.  Please continue to pray for her adjustment.

We love her school so much, and they do an amazing job working with all the kids and loving on them.  We are so thankful for The Little Lighthouse!  And we are thankful for YOU for joining with us in prayer!

  1. It's hard work growing up. My daughter used to cry when we left her in the nursery Sunday School class. I broke my heart at the time, but she grew up and is confident and a kind, caring person. And she's 32, just having had her birthday. Changes just are not easy for some children. This year I've watched the kindergartners growing and maturing from little people who had to be carried to the school door crying, and led to the classroom each morning. Now they happily come in on their own and get to class without me taking them down the hall. It takes time and patience. So I will pray for Grace and you!♥♫

  2. I taught at a preschool for five years. I was the early one in so I saw first hand the anguish of parents as their children would scream and cry and grab hold of their legs etc.. Most kids would stop as soon as they were out the door and some needed alittle more attention.. I think they just rather be where the action was, at home.. I can understand the concern with her not drinking.. Perhaps that is one thing that she can be in control over.. I feel for you .. This can't be easy for you or your husband. Praying things get easier.. So good that you love the school..
